What does complete protein mean?
It means the food carries all nine essential amino acids, the ones your body cannot make itself. Most single plant foods are short on at least one.
How is this different from your Quinoa Atta?
Our Quinoa Atta is the stone-ground line, milled on the chakki for roti-making. This is the Everyday Protein version, milled fine for blending into batters and bakes. Same seed, different grind and different range.
Why does it taste slightly bitter?
Natural to quinoa, from the seed coat. Toast it in a dry pan for a couple of minutes and most of it goes.
Is it gluten free?
Quinoa is naturally gluten free. Ours is milled in a facility that also handles wheat, so we would not call it suitable for coeliac disease.
Can I make rotis with it alone?
You can, but they will be dense and strongly flavoured. A quarter blended into another flour is the sensible way.
